The library you know and love will be undergoing some HUGE changes!

We have been lucky enough to receive a generous grant from the State Education Department. This enables us to renovate our entire library, both inside and out. This will give the library a more appealing and updated appearance, along with accessibility and convenience changes that are long overdue.

Some of these changes will include, but are not limited to:

  • New furniture
  • New bookshelves
  • Updated technology
  • An accessibility ramp
  • A designated public meeting/break room
  • A public sign close to the road
  • And more!

The plans for this construction project are available at our library courtesy of Aubertine & Currier Architects. It’s on massive, full-size paper that can be viewed by anyone who’s interested! Our furniture design plans are accessible upon request and here in this post.

Example 1: A colorized overview of the layout in 3D.

Example 2: An overview of the layout, the names/dimensions of the furniture, and each section of the library as designated.

We are getting closer to this project going underway. Right now, our board is deciding on which bidder to accept.

Keep an eye on our page and website for updates. Feel free to message us or drop by the library with any questions you may have.
